Great spot right across the street from the movie theater in the Winter Park Village. An industrial feel to the layout with these massive garage doors they can open up when the weather cooperates. Lotsa seating inside and some chilled out sofas outside as well. Great atmosphere for couples and groups. Basically, I feel like Taps took the World of Beer model and made it better by adding food. Like WOB, you got the same massive selection of craft beers in bottles and on draft plus the addition of grub. Makes sense, right? I'm not gonna tell you what brews we ordered, everybody has their own preference when it comes to libations, but lemme clue you in on some of the savory snacks we got. To start we went with the warm lump crab and artichoke dip. It's a VERY healthy portion. So good--and it comes with plenty of warm pita triangles to share. There were only two of us, but I'd wager this small plate could go hard on a 4 top no problem. Would def. get that again. For the main event, I got the chicken pesto sandwich and my better half ordered the baked mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was okay, nothing terribly special though. It wasn't bad mind you--but looking at the menu again...I believe we coulda done better with that selection and went with something a little more adventurous. The chicken pesto on the other hand was a choice made wisely. The meat was moist, the pesto was fresh and the ciabatta roll set it off. The server told me this was her favorite selection in the joint, add some bacon and it's on a whole other level. So, I made a leap of faith and trusted her that yes, bacon WOULD make it better.... and it did. The beers are anywhere from 5-15 bucks and the food was all moderately priced in the 10-15 dollar range (not bad for that part of town). Look forward to going back and trying like, 10 other beers...

So open and airy, perfecto for a gorgeous night in Orlando... with some caveats. 1. It's from Tampa (word) and this is their second location and they have only been open one month so still new. However, all of their materials are branded Tampa and they have no online presence in Orlando, thank gosh for Yelp! So it seems they have rushed things, why not brand it Orlando since....... well that is where this location is? 2. They have various ciders, two of which are new to me, woohoo! However, all are on backorder for a bit. FAIL! However, the gentleman who served us gave us some great wine suggestions so customer service save there. 3. The ambiance is amazing inside and it's all open with garage type doors, gorgeous. However, it's in a shopping plaza facing the movie theater, not much to fill your eyes. 4. The appetizers are pricey for their size and flavor. Nothing blew me away and they baked salmon, onion and aioli flatbread turned me off. Just felt like someone threw thing together without looking, it was not appetizing at all. The baked mac was ok, tiny portion. My favorite was the baked meatballs, they were yum! Things going for them: Ambiance Server knowledge Great wine Comfy lounge couches in the back, great options of bar scene or lounge, completely separate from one another. So, let's give 'em a bit to improve and hopefully they will go above and beyond cause man does this place have potential!!

Rock solid drafts...wow. Wait til u see the bottle selection. 4 big screens make it an upscale place to watch the game.

My colleague and I dropped by here for a quick lunch bite and drink one day. I absolutely loved it! It's very spacious and I love the openness and the difference in character between the two rooms. It's a great blend of a man's high-top bar atmosphere for watching the big game and the woman's more upscale, comfy yet trendy posh wine bar/lounge where she can catch up with her closest gal pals. Great place for multiple couples to go to together - you can have a dual girls and guys night but still be close to your mate. And my favorite part - the extensive selection of beer!!!! Awesome. I'm not a wine drinker so the ability to self-serve order wine by the glass doesn't appeal to me but the 300+ selection definitely does! We also received exceptional customer service while we were here. Helped that there weren't really too many others there (it was right after they opened) but I was very happy with the friendly service we received. I do agree with Colleen, they really need to do some more to brand themselves. Especially if they want to last and I certainly hope they do because I plan on going back!

Taps has a nice location, great atmosphere, good food, and a wide selection of drinks. Although, on more then 1 occasion I have been charged extra on my bill then what was listed in the menu. I was there with 2 friends last night and there was an extra $9 charged between the 3 of us. That's ridiculous! How often does this happen? Please check your bill before you pay.

I headed to Taps Wine & Beer with four of my favorite gal pals last night. Located in Winter Park Village, Taps is obviously best known for its wide selection of wine and beer. They also have some yummy eats too. I went for the Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wrap. It had the perfect blend of buffalo sauce and gorgonzola cheese, and the romaine lettuce it was nestled in was big enough that I could actually wrap it up, as opposed to the usual catastrophe that occurs with lettuce wraps at most eateries. I love beer, but I hate how it sometimes gives me the occasional belly bloat. I've been digging organic lagers lately, so I was happy to see that Taps offered a great (if small) selection of Organic and Gluten free beers. I went with the Sam Smith Organic Lager, and I'm happy to report that the only person who looked like they were pregnant upon leaving was my gal pal Kim, who is indeed, pregnant. My only complaint was one rude server who responded with a flat-out "no" to Kim when she asked for a non-alcoholic fruity drink. I ended up getting another server to fulfill the request, so all was good in the end. Great atmosphere - nice blend of posh after-hours mingling with a relaxing back room for chatting. And of course, some super cute eye-candy after 5pm. ;)~

Have been going to Taps since the first day of the soft opening. Loved the place. It has been slowly going downhill and tonight was the last time. Service was nonexistent at our table and we had to keep going to the bar to get the waitress. When we ordered food, the quesadillas were soggy & my food never came out. Drinks weren't even available that were on the menu. The waitress blamed it on a busy night, but the tables weren't even full. She then wanted to bring my food after it had been sitting for over a half hour. She spent the night at two other tables. Won't be going back until the owner returns & straightens out his staff.

Stopped in to Taps after an early weekend movie. Loved the atmosphere. Felt like an upscale sports bar mixed with a wine bar. I'm not a sports bar fan, so I liked that the TVs were off in the distance and seemed to be a focus of bar patrons. Not sure how real sports bar fans will feel about this. Noticed a cool looking lounge area that was a separate room - has potential. Noticed nice outdoor dining - too hot for me in June, but has potential. Drink menu very interesting. Huge beer menu. I went for a wine cocktail which included Merlot and tequila. Loved it. Husband has a draft beer and enjoyed that too. We found the food menu interesting with many things we might try. We split a apricot BBQ chicken with avocado on ciabatta. It was excellent. Flavorful and moist. Because of the sandwich and the POTENTIAL, I give a 3 star rating. If rating on service, rating would be a one. Our served seemed totally untrained. She had no suggestions at all when we asked about most popular cocktails. She served my drink with no napkin and no stir stick. I had to ask for a class of water 3 times before I got it. Another server asked if we'd been served, so it appears that they don't have clear stations. I wonder how they will handle a busy crowd considering we were there at 2pm which is not a popular time. So - I hope that management gets organized, gets the staff trained and uses all the potential to their advantage.

BEER AND WINE LOVERS REJOICE! This place is perfect for all. In the mood for some upscale bar food favorites and some wine sampling? Yep ,this place has it. How about watching a game with the the guys while trying the massive beer selection? Yep, got that too. Or maybe you just want want to sit outside in a relaxing atmosphere and chat where it doesn't like 90 degrees. Yep, you guessed it, you can do that too. Let me explain... First I should start by saying this place truly isn't even open! In fact the grand opening isn't for another few weeks. Hopefully, they will let us know the date so we can all check it out! So if you find yourself wanting to go before hand cut them some slack because they are just getting their feet wet. Drinks: There are SO many beer choices. I couldn't even begin to tell you. There are at least 5 pages on the menu dedicated to it. I was told they are selecting 200 to go on a list as a challenge of sorts. I would guess if there was something you were looking for they probably have it. For wine, you can order by the glass OR purchase a card and do wine sampling out of the built in system. I would estimate there are 40 wines to sample and you can get 1oz,3oz, or 5oz pours. Food: While I know this is an important factor in a restaurant most of what we tried was not my fave. This may be because they are still getting it sorted out so it did not effect my ratings. We had the: Buffalo Chicken lettuce wraps - This was very good. Two thumbs up! Mac & Cheese - Eh, lack of cheesiness for me. Roast beef sliders - More of a french roll cut into pieces. Not bad but could be tweaked. However, that being said, the selection was great and with a few tweaks they will be a hit! Atmosphere: WOW. This is an indoor / outdoor establishment. The entire restaurant can be opened to the outdoors through large roll up doors. On the night we went they were up and it was still perfectly cool. Not hot as I would have expected. There are really two sections to this: One is a lounge side that has conversational seating and the wine machines, the other is more bar like with TVs and high top tables. Very comfortable and inviting. There were a ton of people here for being open less than a week. I think this place is going to be a great addition to WPV. I'm looking forward to going back!

This restaurant has a lot of beer selections and nice atmosphere. The food and service is bland. At least 3 people sitting outside that had not been tended to had to come up to the bar and complain no one had greeted them or taken their orders. We sat at the bar, and got our orders quickly. We ordered the guacamole and some ricotta bruschetta. The guacamole came with tostitos out of the bag, and the bruschetta was flavorless. This place gets 3 stars for location.

This place has such great potential. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of relaxed and industrial. The location is in close proximity to surrounding evening activities in the plaza and the giant garage doors make for an amazing walk-up atmosphere. Stopped in with about an hour to enjoy a beverage and some bar eats. In the hour, was only able to get wait staff to stop at the table once. Drinks only this evening - no wait staff was interested in taking further requests of the kitchen. Mind you, I'd understand if the place were packed - this particular evening - there were exactly 8 other patrons in the place. The margarita/sangria was wonderful; the service wasn't.

Just dropped by after dinnner because some of us didn't want to go home and we walked by. Gotta say the place has potential! The vibe seems pretty good for a Thursday. Can't speak for the food as we already ate, but the beer menu seemed pretty extensive. Gotta try this place again on a weekend and try the food and i can give a better feel for the place. But i'll definitely go back... sometime. Probably before a movie, but Winter Park village is really for the kiddos anyway. lol

Taps is growing on me. I've been a few times now and yes, I have sampled quite a bit of their beer selection and food. The beer selection is, as I've said, quite awesome. They seem to bring in some new beers every so often. I was lucky to catch a Dogfish 120 Minute there, just randomly stopping in. It's still a little hit-or-miss on the food, but I was fairly lucky on a recent trip. Their Tuna Crudo is delish. Buffalo Chicken wraps were good too. However the bread that an order of bruschetta was served on tasted stale and was difficult to bite through. It *can* get a bit pricey - ordering a bunch of tapas as well as a few drinks rang up a hefty bill. The ingredients do taste pretty high quality and fresh (for the most part).

had to kill some time and i stopped of for a quick bite and glass of wine. Not only was the wine inexpensive, but it was very good! Who does $4 glasses anymore? Awesome! My daughter and I got the Bruschetta with prosciutto, fresh mozzerella, and basil w/ truffle oil. I didn't taste the truffle oil which would have softened the toastini, but I still very much enjoyed it. We also ordered the chicken satay, but it came out with a very strong and spicy bbq sauce instead of peanut. Apparently they changed the item and forgot to mention it. I would have held on to it, but it was awful! We turned it in and got Tuna Credo...very yummy. Lot's of chopped tuna on a crispy wonton and chili oil. I can't wait to go back. There beer & wine menu is extensive. The Tuna was like $13 & the Bruschetta was $9 I think. Over all great place for tapas and a drink! Just don't get the chicken satay

They picked a great location for this place. Right next to the movie theater in the Winter Park village. The only problem with that is the rent must be incredibly high to justify some of the prices. The service tried very hard. The bartender really wanted to know his stuff, which lead to a very long and drawn out naming of the taps. My eyes aren't so great in the wrong light, so I can't always read all the tap handles. He insisted on explaining what every beer was, which would be great if I didn't already know but he lost my attention after the first two and I just picked one that I could see. My only real gripe with the place is the prices. I know what I'm getting into when I order good beer. I know what to expect, but I've never seen anyone charge $9 for a Duchesse. Not even in NY. In fact, most of the things I'm used to ordering for around $6-$7 were in the $9-$10 range. I may stop in again if I have a lot of time to kill before a movie and I REALLY want a beer, but I'm not gonna make any special trips out there when I can get the same stuff elsewhere for a LOT less.

The waitress overcharged our bill by $20. When we asked to see a manager, the manager came over and said "she didn't f-ing overcharge you" and then he shoved my friend in the chest. The Winter Park PD of course did nothing about it. So I don't recommend coming here unless you want to assaulted and cheated!!!!

Great atmosphere for drinks. Service is uneven and spotty, but understandable because it is so new. The food is above average but needs to be kicked up to be considered good. Hopefully, management will be receptive to constructive criticism.

Assistant Manager is HORRIBLE! We got billed for a drink with a fly in it and then told to pay and leave when we complained! My boyfriend and I ordered drinks and appetizers on a nice quiet Sunday. When I went to take my first sip of my 2oz little side of $8 scotch - it had a fly in it! No problem - I sent it back and they promised to get me a new one. We were sitting outside - so it happens. Then the waitress came back and said that the assistant manager was forcing her to bill us for the drink we never drank. (General Manager was on vacation??) We talked to the assistant manager - but he said that because we were sitting outside - it was our fault. He then dropped the bill on our table and walked away. The waitress came back and told us that per the assistant manager - we had 5 minutes to pay and leave - and that we were not welcome back. What? I'm sure you're thinking we must have been horrible to be treated like that - I would assume that - but really we didn't even raise our voices - we just didn't understand why we got billed for a drink we didn't even take a sip of! No worries on us ever going back to a place like that. But it's a shame to be treated like that - anywhere.

Probably should have read Yelp reviews before going here. Many of the complaints from other reviewed are still accurate. My biggest gripe is the price to portion size ratio. I ordered a veggie sandwich ($9) and my wife ordered the tuna ($15). When it was served, I thought it was an appetizer. The food was good but I left thinking someone else got the other half of my sandwich. The beer selection is extensive but you may have to float a loan to get a pint. Maybe Tuesdays are better with draft specials, but I am in no hurry to go back. Our server was average, we were not in a hurry and neither was she. I am always wary of a server who recommends the most expensive item on the menu ($15 Tuna). The outside seating is nice as long as some smoker isn't chain stoking next to you. Inside was noisy and I never understand why a restaurant has to play music loud to the point where patrons have to talk over it. May try it again on a draft special night but will skip the overpriced mini portion food. There are better places for a night out nearby.

We loved this place! The selection of wine was amazing if you are a wine connoiseur like me. Additionally, the service was impeccable although we were there in the late afternoon when it was not busy so I can't vouch for the service all the time.

Not bad. Good beer selection, but not the character of Red Light, Red Light. Food was good, with the roast beef sliders being the highlight of the meal.

Deceiving name;should be called tapas for the small, overpriced food portions. The beers are also overpriced, but the worst aspect is the service! I asked my server SABRINA if she knew how to pour a belgian wit;she said yes,but then proceeded to pour it wrong. i tried to educate her by showing her a hoegaarden bottle with the instructions on the back, but the only response she could muster was "THAT'S SO STUPID";really!. I think not knowing your product & choosing to remain ignorant about it is stupid.Never mind being condescending to the customer! Prior to that they switched servers without a word.I have been twice & will not go back. If you want a great beer bar go to McRaney's & see Jen; down the road on Fairbanks, or Redlight Redlight! Don't be a pretender;be a contender! It's too bad a nice space cannot live up to it's name. good riddance!

  • Diane C.

had the worst service, food, and they couldn't even make a cosmo right. The server didn't know what kind of vodka they had, we ordered Caymus, which was on the menu, and the server said they didn't have it in stock. The food was horrible, and again the server did nothing, nor did the owner, who came over and said "hi I'm the owner". When he asked how everything was, and we told him how bad it was, he walked away. We spent $100 on 2 drinks and 2 meals, which we never ate they were so bad. Will never go back, and will tell everyone we know to never eat there. Mitchells across the street is 10 times better, and their bartenders and servers are great.

I would give it minus stars if I could. Horrible service and a manager who is extremely rude if you complain. Great concept if someone else ran the place.

I have to say this is the worst place I have ever been to. We took a big group here twice, shame on us for giving them a second chance. Servers were very rude as well as the manager. first time only half of us got served and it wasnt even busy, but since we had a large group of about 20 we decided to try them again, bad choice. food took forever, and mediocre to say the least, out of some beers, servers acted as tho we were a bother and said to one of us," well dont come back then"as well as the manager being rude and saying "well I will just put the tip on your tab anyway. now i know why they take your credit card at the beginning of your order!

This is our new favorite place! The main dinning area is mostly high tops with a full bar and a bunch of TV's. It's great for watching a game or getting something light to eat and a couple of drinks before or after a movie. It's a full liquor bar so you can get anything you want. They have about ten beer & wine cocktails listed on the menu and they are all really good. Some of them sound weird, ingredients that you wouldn't think go together well, but they do, so try them! The other side of the restaurant is more of a lounge and they have those cool wine machines like the wine room where you can buy a card and add value to it and taste wines by three different sizes. They have all the wines listed on a separate menu and if you're not a fan of the self service, the servers will go do it for you and bring you your glass. If you do it that way you can only do half glass, full glass, or bottle but if you do the card and go do it your self you can do a 1 ounce pour instead of going right into a half glass. I love doing those because you can try a new wine that you've never had before or just take a few sips of something that is too expensive to get by the glass. The lounge itself is really cool. They have several different types of seating. A really long high table that has a bunch of tall chairs. Good for sitting with a small group or date and the table is high enough that when it's crowded you can just stand near it and use it to put your drink down for a second. They have some nice couches that are good for big groups and then up against the side wall they have a long bench seat that stretches the length of the wall with some cool coffee tables and some soft, very light colored rectangle seats that look like ottomans but feel like bean bag chairs because they are so soft. Love posting up on that side because it's comfortable and you can sprawl out as if you are at home with friends. The highlight for me is actually the beer. They have a massive list with over 300 beers to choose from. They have 16 that stay on tap, another 10 on tap that rotate, and the rest are bottles. They have a separate menu for the beer that reminds me of a cheesecake factory food menu. It's like a small book. They have the beers listed by type so you can easily find something you like. The service is great. We've already been three times this week and our favorite server is Zach. We had a chance to meet the owner, James and he told us about the "Grand Opening" that was last night. We went, it was awesome! The bathrooms are brand new just like everything else and they are really clean. The whole place is laid out beautifully and they have something for everyone in your group. The food is really good too. They have some really good apps and some nice salads and sandwiches. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! For desert we recommend the chocolate lava cake and the waffles. What a great way to cap off a fun night with friends and family. All in all, this place is as good as it gets. You've got to check it out.

Went for lunch with friends...very over priced food. We were all shocked at the price/portion. Didn't go for drinks so maybe chose wrong venue to just eat. Nice decor. May be a great place to drink, but definitely not a place I would go back to inorder to eat.

I really like this place but I wish they would commit to providing reliable TV service. We asked the bartender if they would be getting NFL ticket and/or college football packages and her comment was " I've been asking about that too, but they are still undecided" Wow, really? One week before season? The irony was we were there that afternoon to enjoy one of the Serena Williams' tennis matches. The beer was cold the appetizers perfect and the staff friendly and helpful. But, as a light rain set in over the Winter Park village, the TVs froze and then went black. We sat there for another thirty minutes and decided to go to Marlows down the street. Hey, Taps, providing great sports TV will not make you a sports bar and ruin your wine vibe, it will give your beer and wine enthusiasts an option to catch their favorite event and be social at the same time. I hope to be back and catch a Sunday afternoon game and a delicious cold beer in your terrific indoor outdoor spot.

Good selection of craft beers and good food. I enjoyed a sandwich on our visit, winger were OK. I like that it's easy to grab a bite here before or after a movie. Service was great and they got us in and out in plenty of time to make our movie, just let them know if you have tickets when you get seated.

My husband and I visit on a Saturday night around 10pm, just wanted to grab a beer (draft). We sat at the bar and were given a drink & food menu within a minute or so. Going to the draft section of the menu, we noticed only 10 beers listed and 2 pages of the menu missing. There are about 30 beers on tap, so I asked for the rest of the menu. The bartender said that they don't have a printer or it was broken. When I stated I don't know what all of the beers on tap are, can't read that far, she offered no help to tell me what was on tap. I was able to figure out the majority of them, but not all. I was not thrilled with the selection as I was looking to try something new and they didn't have anything (that I could tell at least) that I hadn't had before. My husband ordered a beer and we quickly closed out.

If you decide to visit, make sure to hit their happy hour to save a few bucks by getting $5 apps. I had the nachos, not bad. My friend had the veggie quesadillas, not my cup of tea. I like the area by the wine tastings. Cool relaxed and comfy. And the bar is very casual.

Good place, clean, friendly, the food is ok, some tapas are really good and some others just ok. Good place for a date or grab a drink before the movies (across the street).

Came here on a Friday evening with a group of friends to grab dinner before heading to a movie. The place was busy, but not crowded, as we were easily able to find a table for 5 with no problem. I still can't decide if I like this place. I want to like it, but maybe it was just one of those nights and I need to give it another try. While the food was ok, service was a bit slow, especially towards the end, and as we were trying to make our movie, the server just kind of disappeared. As a result we had to sit in crappy seats at the movie, which was a bummer! Taps does have a nice atmosphere, with tables on one side of the establishment, and a lounge area on the other. It felt like two different vibes- beer bar in the front, wine lounge in the back, as there were wine bottles along the walls for sampling. It's a really nice space, and if we weren't in a hurry I could see spending a few hours with their extensive beer menu or hanging out with a couple glasses of wine. The menu was ok- not the best selection, but decent. I had the Chipotle BBQ Apricot Chicken, which was good, but honestly nothing special. You can add a side for $4.00 or the dish comes with a mixed green salad. My friend added macaroni and cheese as her side, and it was the saddest, tiniest ramekin of mac and cheese, even though it was good. Maybe not $4.00 good though! I think in the future I would come back for drinks, and maybe a snack, but not necessarily dinner. While the food was good, it seemed a little pricey for what you are getting, and just wasn't my favorite.

This was an okay experience, made badly by our bartender who openly flirted with me in front of Bry. We enjoyed our sushi and cider, paid and we left. The food was just so-so but I really enjoyed my cider.

A group of friends and I stopped here to grab a light meal before our late movie showing. I live close to the area and had never ventured inside assuming it was a drinking spot. They actually serve food and have an extensive tapas menu in addition to some salads and sandwiches. It was fairly packed when we arrived (Friday night). You can opt to sit outside or inside. We chose inside and were seated in a large booth. I would compare this to a more upscale version of a sports bar. Lots of dark oak furniture and contemporary décor. There were televisions everywhere so this is probably your best bet to watch a sporting event in Winter Park Village. There is an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu. Our server was open to suggesting drinks based on taste preferences . I had ordered a Rekordelig Wild Berries cider but he brought me a pear by mistake. I felt bad since it was poured out of a bottle and didn't want it to go to waste so I tried it and actually liked . So I'm glad I didn't mention the mistake. Forced me to try a new flavor. On the down side, the pricing is fairly steep as it was $8.50 for this bottle so I made sure to drink it to the last drop! As for the food, I went with the chipotle apricot BBQ chicken sandwich. I wasn't aware that it came with a salad so I ordered a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich was really tasty. It came wrapped in paper and had generous slices of chicken and a great tangy bbq sauce taste. I loved the choice of grilling/pressing the ciabatta bread. It was a super hearty sandwich, but a little messy because of the sauce. The mac and cheese side is a super small portion and for $4 I should've known better. I took a few bites but was already full from my sandwich and small salad so I shared with friends. They seemed to like since they're cheese fanatics so it didn't go to waste. Our service was a little unattentive. One of my friends had asked for a glass of water to go with her beer and she never got it. She had to ask again when he did come by. It was just a busy night so he was spread pretty thin. We had to also ask for our checks and he was great about splitting. On a sidenote- there is another room towards the back that has the options to try different wine pours. So keep that in mind. Overall, the meal was good but the prices were steep for what it was. Would definitely not be a regular spot to dine ...maybe if a friend suggested for Happy Hour.

Being a "Beer Guy" you have to at least stop into any place called Taps. The beer menu was a solid 2" think and our waitress knew her stuff. From some local Florida favorites to the harder to find production brews they served them up. Daily specials..... Think $1.00 off draughts. I'll be back.

Their food is so good. Like shockingly delicious. I've been here a number of times. The only down side is they are often out of ingredients. They may have fixed that, but in December one of the people in our group ordered three things before they found one they could make. Great variety of beers. They have wine and spirits as well. I feel like it is reasonably priced. A great place for a night cap after a good movie (or to pre-game a crappy movie). Also a great happy hour spot now that my office almost literally on top of it.

I don't have an opinion on the food here, as I have only been for drinks. They have a great selection of craft beer. They offer a large selection in bottles as well as about 16 or so taps that rotate. There's a book that lists all of the beers they offer, which is helpful. During happy hour, the beer is $1.00 off. It's a small place with high tops as well as bar seating. There are a few TV's in there. We sat at a high top while there and our waitress was not very good. She had an attitude and never came to check on us, so that ruined my experience a bit. All in all, it's a good spot to grab a drink while shopping in the Winter Park Village or before going to see a movie at the Regal which is right across the way.

I finally understand the popularity of TAPS. A week prior, I met my family there for a quick drink, and I was thrilled that they not only had Delirium Tremens on tap, but they had their own etched glasses with the tiny elephants. It almost felt like having one in the plaza in Brussels. The service is quick and the servers are knowledgeable about their product line. The only think knocking the score down a tick was the draft line being in transition, so the menu did not match the draft beer availability. Thankfully it was early enough in the afternoon that I could mill about the bar, looking at the taps and trying to figure out what I wanted to drink. However, I do not believe this approach would work after 5PM in the evening either on a week day or weekend. For those loving a great buffalo chicken. Check out the buffalo lettuce wraps. They have a real kick, so make sure if you're a heat wimp like yours truly that your server brings you a bucket of water. In my case, the chef came out to see if I liked my plate, and it was amazing!! He, in turn, mercifully served a glass of water upon me. The beer flights are $11 for four 5oz pours, and the bartenders really don't leave empty space in the glass! The high top tables have hooks for your bags which is wonderful as the seating is primarily bar stools without backs. This place is perfect for a happy hour, cozy gathering, apres work drinks, or a prelude to a movie date night! Be careful for the parallel parking adjacent, they recently instituted a 2hr limit.

This is a great spot in winter park village with an open space layout. Thursdays are ladies night with $4 martinis! Their nachos are pretty massive and great drinking food. Like them on facebook for a free beer shot!

Right in the heart of Winter Park Village, this is a great place to go before or after catching a movie, doing some shopping, or whatever else you are in the area for. They have a full bar and an extensive selection of beer and wine, including my favorite option of doing a flight (Four 5oz beers for $11) If you aren't sure what you may or may not like, the servers there also are very knowledgeable, offering suggestions to find the perfect ones for you! The food there is also terrific. Whether you are getting a Chipotle Apricot BBQ Chicken Sandwich for yourself, or sharing some of their delicious tapas such as Crab Cake Bites, Roast beef Sliders, or Buffalo Chicken lettuce wraps, you won't be disappointed.

What defined this experience for me was the service. We were not sitting in the main bar, but within view of the bar and cashier, and just could not get the attention of a waitress to get our check (and then to give them our card to run). The waitress was also not very knowledgeable on the wines available, and when at a wine bar, I like to have that kind of insight. We ended up not ordering another glass because the service would have taken a while, but the list of both wine and beer options were otherwise impressive.

My husband and I really enjoy this place. If I need to do some shopping in Winter Park Village, I'll drop him off at Taps and meet up with him later. We have only visited Taps early, in the afternoon so I can't give you a good review of a late night visit when it might be very busy. Taps has a great selection of beer and wine. They almost always have something on tap my husband and I haven't tried, which is saying something! The atmosphere is comfortable and we enjoy the laid back feeling. We always sit at the bar. There are enough televisions at the bar to take in your favorite game. The servers were slammed but still made time to explain menu items and point out special beers on tap. We were excited to find the last bit of Good Gourd from Cigar City on tap (we got the last glass, sorry! :\). We have tried a few different menu items and my favorite so far is the Tuna Credo. It's flavor explosion of spicy concoction of tuna, sun dried tomatoes, and some crunch stuff topped upon a fried wonton chip. My husband is a fan of the bruschetta. Earthy mushrooms, goat cheese, and balsamic vinegar on top of toasty Italian bread was quite tasty. We feel that for Winter Park the prices are fairly reasonable and will continue to give them our support in the future.

Located in the Winter Park Village, directly across from the Regal Movie theater, this craft beer and wine bar offers a nice dining and drinking option in the Winter Park Village. We enjoyed dinner and beers here with friends, the menu offers Tapas, entree salads, sandwiches and other casual food. Good craft beer selection, wines and a full bar is also available. There are rotating happy hour specials and Hubby noticed they had the NFL Ticket and $3 select draft specials on Sundays. Hubby devoured a chicken pesto sandwich and I enjoyed the Far East salad, topped with a beautiful and tasty Ahi tuna rose. The salad was very filling. Friends ordered the quesadilla and the Bacon Turkey Salad. The salad was again, huge, nice ingredients and very filling. Quesadilla was deemed bland and would be skipped the next time. Service was great, out server kept a good eye on the beers and made some nice recommendations. We were finished in plenty of time to make our movie time and will be back!

I went here for my friends bridal shower and I hope to bring my boyfriend back sometime soon. The plaza that Taps is located is filled with food, shopping and a movie theater that is beautiful but is limited on close parking (and it all 2 hour parallel parking) so I choose to park a bit away and walk. The location itself is was very relaxed and comfortable (all the seating too) and they have giant garage style doors that they can open for fresh air and a nice breeze which I really enjoyed. I tried the Specialty Popcorn which was air popped blue kernel popcorn with truffle oil and asiago cheese ($5) and had the Chipotle Apricot BBQ Chicken Sandwich which was avocado (I am probably one of the only people who doesn't love avocado so I picked it off), red onion, arugula and roasted garlic mayo on grilled sliced ciabatta ($11) for my meal. The popcorn was light and flavorful and my sandwich, which came with a small salad, was delicious and the portions were much larger than I expected. I would like to return here during a normal night before going to the movies with my boyfriend and enjoy a meal and a glass of wine.. or two.

this place is good. not GREAT though. have been for lunch on several occasions. food is always tasty and service is only ok. their salads are on point with good flavors and nice dressings. i have not had drinks here...but food is not cheap. it isn't fully overblown, price-wise, but i never feel like a $40 lunch for two people is a deal.

Pros: Clean and sleek interior. Cons: Often out of beers, unknowledgeable waitresses when it comes to their beer lists, slow service, overpriced. Meh. Go here if you've got time to kill before a movie. But really.. don't.

An awesome selection of beers, wines, and cocktails (although they use Stoli which I am surprised for the prices they charge. Stoli--yuck!) and the waiters were awesome. They also seem to be the only joint in snooty WPV that has decent outdoor pub seating. The decor inside was warm and inviting. The food was decent but be forewarned--the tapas is teensy tiny. The mac and cheese is a mere mouthful for a whopping $8. I can find much better at a few tasty eateries in NYC! (Poco has an awesome to die for lobster mac & cheese tapas that is more than enough for one) It's pricey but for a night out, why not?

Rude, terrible service, attitude is negative, they think it's funny to tell you that your paying 20% gratuity and if you don't want to come back that's fine with them! Worst restaurant EVER!

What a great addition to the Orlando/Winter Park area. Once they have their grand opening, the extensive beer and wine lists will let you sample different beverages to your delight!!! Even though they don't have their full supply right now I was able to try some brews that I have never had before. We didn't try the food but everything was presented artfully. This is an upscale version of the House and World of Beers. Half a bar atmosphere and the other more of an upscale lounge. Very classy all around. Can't wait to go back and indulge in the full beer and wine lists when the soft opening is over.

I like this place because it's close to where I live. They have a great selection of beer and wine, comfortable places to sit, and tapas style apps. The crab artichoke dip and pita are my favorite. I give it 4 stars not only because of the aforementioned but for the fact that they are willing to turn the game on for you. Sometimes going to the sports bars aren't in the cards with the energy and session beers. If you want to chill with a beer or good glass of wine at a slightly slower speed sitting on a couch then go to Taps. Not saying this place is quiet or dull by any means, just a good vibe.

Great beer selection on tap and in bottle. Decently priced. Have only been here to try different beers so can't comment on the food. Servers are great and extremely friendly. Best I've had in Orlando so far. Only thing I can "complain" about is that their Friday drink special has nothing to do with beer (it's a whiskey special) when the place is clearly a beer pub.

Taps is a blended wine bar/craft beer house that also serves food. Ironically enough, it's the food that I have always been pleased with here and not so much on the beer/wine. Although my dining guests oftentimes feel the opposite, so something might be said about what you order (and on which night). Could consistency be a problem? My biggest gripe about this place is the lack of pricing on their beer/wine menus. This should be the first indication that you are about to be gouged. I don't oftentimes find myself asking the price of something in a restaurant prior to ordering it. I go by the credo that if it says "MP" or "Market Price" and you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. And for those who can afford it, it doesn't mean you should (or accept being fleeced). My group ordered several of the beers on their list across a wide range, black porters, hard ciders, ultra-hoppy IPAs and found all of them to be WAY OVERPRICED. And not by just by the typical margin that restaurants put on alcohol... try 2-3 times normal restaurant prices. Again, I'm all for a company making money, but have the guts to put the prices on the menu so that a consumer can make an informed decision. I shouldn't find out that the beer I can buy at Total Wine for $4 is $24 in your bar. My (and my dining mates) sticker shock upon getting the bill forced us to reconsider ever coming here again.

*************FRAUD WARNING!!! DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE***************** Last week, I met some friends for the $15 wine night and put down a credit card, but ended up paying my $15 bill in cash. The service was unbelievably slow, nonexistent, and not worth the good location at all. The next day my card was charged $41+ from Taps. Two days after that my card was charged $22+ from Taps. Today, my card was charged $18+. REALLY? I paid my $15 bill IN CASH, but since they have my card on file I am now getting charged more than $80 fraudulently by this place. I paid in cash in the first place because the place was so unorganized and I DID NOT want to leave my credit card information with them. *************FRAUD WARNING!!! I really like this place. I met my girlfriend and a friend of hers a couple of weeks ago for a drink and quick bite. The location is great as well as they are placed on the corner in front of the movie theater. Garage bay doors open and make it seem larger, airy and spacious. The prices may seem high but they are right in line with everything else in the area. They may be a dollar or two off compared to other establishments in their category, but I've noticed other places in Winter Park Village charging higher than normal prices. However, the chicken pesto sandwich I had was only 9.99. It was fresh as was the bread it was served on. the chicken was moist and full of flavor. Service was good but we were at the bar and they weren't busy, so maybe that doesn't count. :)

All grounds covered! This place is excellent. I'm honestly SHOCKED to see below a 4 star rating on here. This is my favorite place in Orlando at the moment. Food - Every item excellent! They are flexible with adjusting. Service - Excellent. Not sure who everyone has had, but Jason might be hands down the best combination of service and entertainment I've had. Extremely knowledgable and helpful about everything on the menu. Cameron has also been very helpful and attentive since I've gone there. Haven't sat at the bar yet. Beer - As good of a selection as you can find. Huge draft list, constantly rotating. Wine Bar - If wine cards (like the WIne Room) are your thing...they have that too! Mixed Drinks - yup, they've got it all Environment - Indoor/Outdoor feel + luxury done perfectly. I feel like I'm at a luxurious/chill bar .... it's an oxymoron, and tough to pull off...but they did. Plus good live music.

I like the swankyness of this bar. It's very similar to World Of Beer, but was nicer. And they serve more alcoholic choices, wine, cocktails and of course, beer. The bathrooms are really nice, that's a big deal for me and they didn't disappoint. The down side I thought was the music...even though the garage doors were open, the music was so LOUD. We were literally shouting to each other sitting across from one another. So, that's my only complaint, turn the music down just a notch. The atmosphere is cozy and slinky, the loud music made it hard to enjoy that aspect of the establishment. I didn't eat any food but my friends did and they said everything was delicious! I would like to go back for some bites and see for myself.

I don't know why people would give it less than three stars. On our way to Taps, we were reading some of the reviews people gave this place. A lot of talk was about the bad service. We noticed as we sat there, that there was only ONE server for all of the tables for the afternoon. She was also the bartender. Of course there's going to be "slow" service if she has to take care of all the tables and the bar by herself. We ordered 5 different dishes and liked every one of them. I didn't think that the food was overpriced. You get what you pay for. Good serving of good food. The dessert, Belgian Waffle with Nutella and ice cream was SO delish! A sweet party in the mouth. A must have. This is a great place to meet up with the friends before or after a movie....considering it's right across the street from the movie theater. They have many wines to choose from and beers from all over as well. They run specials every day too. On Wednesdays is 25% off all wines. I only know that because I went on that day. It's a great location to come hang out for a little night cap beverage. As far as the service goes...hey...relax...you'll get your turn.

Hands down my favorite place to drink beer in the Winter Park area so far. Cool, urban vibe - extensive selection of craft beer - bottle and draft. They were, however, out of many of the bottle beers I picked out - but if it's at least on their menu with a hint of possibility I may catch it sometime without having to fly to the West Coast- I'm happy - especially in a state where their residents believe Miller Light and Natural Light are staples. I didn't really look into it - but it seems as if their wine selection is equally impressive. Service was fantastic - bartender was quick and well informed on their extensive beer and wine list. I do, however, also think we got lucky as the gal who came in behind our bartender was, well, useless. I also listened into conversations from other servers to their tables - and they seemed equally useless. I'll definitely have to get their names next time... Food: the concept sounds delicious on their menu, but it was poorly executed.... Bruschetta: bread was old, prosciutto was subpar, they were out of basil (although they were only open for 2 hours and most of their appetizers contained Basil) the truffle oil, however, carried the dish pretty far. Their Rare Roast Beef Sammy tasted good - largely due to the amazing Gorgonzola spread and perfectly toasted bread - but it was a far cry from rare. The beef was also grey and the accompanying spring salad was old and soggy (Taps - why do you put old rotting lettuce on a plate?! That's gross!). So imagine, the overall presentation of this dish was disappointing as you have meat resembling a dead corpse next to a rotting salad. Mac n cheese: Surprisingly good. I'm assuming their kitchen doesn't get much turn-around so I'm willing to give the food a shot when they get it together. You may be thinking why I gave them 4 stars if the food is so crappy - well, the craft beer selection is that good - what other reason do you need?! After all, their menu shows a lot of promise...but, for now, if you're hungry - eat at one of the surrounding restaurants first (Brio happy hour- yum!) then DEFINITELY stop here to drink!!

Went to Taps on Friday night after seeing a movie. It's in a great location, across the street from the theater. It was a nice evening so they had all the doors open. We split an appetizer of three bean dips which was very good. For my entree, I had an appetizer portion of the mac & cheese and my husband had a meatball sub, which two waitresses had recommended. It wasn't terribly crowded, but it took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive which seemed a bit long. However, everything was very good so we quickly forgot about the wait. We will definitely be going back.

This place has a great interior, I love the simplicity and openness of it. It's got a nice spot right in front of the movie theater so there's plenty of opportunity to people watch. I only had a simple martini so I didn't get to rate too much but from the view at the bar, it looked like they had tons of beers to choose from. A bit expensive but a nice upscale taproom experience.

A new bar by my office? Why... don't mind if I do! Actually, I trivialize the place by calling it a 'bar' as they have full lunch and dinner menus, but I think it will be a solid choice for a pre/post-movie or post-work drink and apps. Taps is situated in the Winter Park Village space that was occupied by Starbucks and Schakolad, directly across from the movie theater. The main space is separated into two areas - a large bar area with a multitude of beers on tap (and many more on the wall), and a smaller lounge area with couches, funky fur chairs and wine-by-the-ounce machines. There's also a small patio area outside, but the whole bar area can basically be 'opened up' to the outside as weather permits. I am not sure the location has had its grand opening yet, so for now, the crowds were limited and the place was not particularly noisy. Wine selection is good, with numerous options by the glass if you don't want to commit to a bottle or sample from the machines, but as you'd expect from the name, the beer selection is where this place shines. Bartenders seem to know the deal and pointed everyone in the right direction. I've had difficulty finding a web presence for the Winter Park location but the beer menu at their Tampa location should give you an idea: tapswineandbeer.com/menu… The only lamentation I've heard is from a coworker who wished for cheaper beer options. Hint to owners: add some happy hour specials or if you have them, publicize them!

Waited for a long time for a server to knowledge us at the table. Ok, they were moderately busy last Saturday afternoon. When the server finally arrived she had no idea about the beer selection! We asked a few questions like what do you have on tap that is not listed on the menu, can you explain this beer style, etc. She could only compare a fine craft selection to BLUE MOON! Seriously?! We did not eat, but the menu looks interesting and they have some great selections available. When we did get our drinks they were served in the incorrect glassware for the style beer and the glasses were WARM! Ugh. Suggestions for the owner; cool place, fun atmosphere, better then WOB, but TRAIN your staff please!

Imagine a classier, hipper-feeling Ale House with a legitimately impressive beer selection- that's Taps. The nachos are good, the roast beef sliders are awesome. It's great addition to the neighborhood, a perfect place to grab a drink and some quality bar food before a movie at the WPV theater.

I definitely had a good time at Taps. I stopped by for an NBA finals game and the food, atmosphere, and people at the establishment (both staff and patrons) were all friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying the evening together (regardless of the team you were rooting for). This place has solid food (I tried the meatball sub that was quite nice), and they have a large selection of beers and a full bar. Overall, I definitely like it, and for only being open for a very short time, the owner is doing a good job making this place seem like its been around forever. I may even go back tonight.

My spouse and I came back here while we were in the area and waiting for our party to meet us for dinner. We were looking to catch our game for a few quarters before we went to dinner. A+, Taps succeeded here. Our game was being shown on the TVs when we walked in. In all, still not terribly impressed with the response of the bar staff. Today, we sat AT THE BAR, and tried to order 3 beers that were "not available". We heard the bartender say, at least twice (once to us, and once to another party), "the draft list is really old, and needs to be updated." FAIL!!! The overall response of the staff was still terrible. I think I saw 3 employees in the entire place: 1 girl tending bar, 1 guy working the kitchen, and 1 "manager" (which I could only guess because she wasn't wearing the same uniform as the others). It was NOT crowded at all, however we sat at the bar for at least 15 minutes without having been served. My most recent experience was only slightly better than my last, but, it was just that. I'm glad they had our game on the TVs (some points allocated for such), but the service was still well below average, and the selection even worse. I keep wishing that World of Beers would swoop in and save this place!!!! This is a pristine location and World of Beers would be so great here!!!

Nice addition to WPV with what must be a new trend of beer bars but feels trendy and prices run a bit high, with little in the way of specials. Didn't get to try the food. Most draft beers were 14oz? and ran $5 minimum. But you can find anything here. Nice half outdoor bar area. Service was slow at the bar.

Taps is a nice little restaurant. Beer selection looked fabulous. We sat in the room with the TV and lounge chairs. Very comfortable. They had a great little duo playing music last night that made up for the price of the wine which even for winter park was a bit much. We ordered two tapas. They looked really great. They did not deliver on taste though. Very disappointing. Nachos didn't come with any cheese or not much. Server noticed and brought out a cup of it. They were still very lacking. The shrimp tacos also didn't have much flavor. Both tapas were missing flavor and any kind of sauce. Service was outstanding. My only recommendation to bring this place up to four or five stars is fix food. Definitely nice place to relax on a quiet night and have a glass of wine. Good date place.

Drinks were good (the full glass of wine looked really small though). But the food was terrible. I got the guacamole, and it was not at all ripe, very bland and way overpriced. The shrimp and cucumber dish was also flavorless, and too fishy tasting to be fresh. Very disappointing. The server we had also seemed very annoyed when we ordered a second dish, and drinks. He wasn't flat out rude, but did not have a pleasant personality at all and acted like we were an inconvenience. I might go back for a quick drink, but not much more.

If you don't mind horrible service, then this place will be just fine for you. I am really disappointed that Taps has been such a let down. It has such potential with tons of beers to choose from and pretty good food, but getting anyone to bring them to you seems to be a big problem for this place. I have been here twice now, and both times received very little service. I went with a group of friends opening weekend and when we mentioned the slow service to the waitress at the end of the night, she insisted that they were just short staffed due to the grand opening. We decided to give it another try this past weekend before catching a movie. After waiting 20 minutes and asking numerous servers if someone could take our drink order, we finally got up and left... and no one really seemed care. (We also saw another couple get up and complain to the waiter that they had been waiting forever and no one had taken their drink order yet... so it wasn't just us!) I really wanted this place to be great... with it's open air bar and great food and drink variety it has potential... but they need to double their servers before I will be back.

Great location, good menu and fantastic beer selection! Good prices and really chic atmosphere...without being pretentious. Clean bathroom and really neat layout of seating. Great place to meet others too. Definitely worth checking out again!

New to WPV, Taps is a well stocked bar with ok food, a "brew- pub" of sorts. Taps has a huge beer selection, with 12ish beers on tap and I would venture to say, at least 50 different bottled beers. Most are craft, all are cold. The atmosphere and staff has a touch of that same pretension and coldness. On a recent lunch visit, I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and turkey and brie sandwich. The sandwich was served on a baguette with a pear and apple chutney and arugula. It sounds more impressive than it tasted. There was very little of anything but bread. More off -putting than the starchy meal, were the two members of staff who were flirting back and forth and speaking loudly about other staff and their weekend plans. They did however have one of my favorite beers on tap (Palm) so I guess that made up for the food and service?? Bottom line: I would stop in again for a beer but, Taps falls a bit short in my opinion.

On Saturday night I went on a date (which isn't the point of this post) and was looking for somewhere "in the middle" that we could meet. I asked some friends for a couple suggestions in the Winter Park area (I mentioned that my date was a beer guy). A friend suggested Taps. She said it was half beer place and half wine bar. It sounded like the perfect place, so we made plans to meet there. Taps is located in Winter Park Village where a Barney's Coffee (or was it a Starbucks?) used to be. The whole place is glass which makes it feel a lot bigger than it really was. I arrived a few minutes before my date (parking was a MESS that night and it was raining) so I peeked inside. It really WAS half beer place and half wine bar. The beer side was where the actual bar was and was full of high top tables. The wall behind the bar was filled with hundreds of beer bottles - it was pretty cool. The wine side was a little more lounge like. There were regular tables and plenty of couches. Oh, and they had those nifty do it yourself wine machines. You know what I'm talking about right? All the trendy wine bars have them these days. When my date arrived we decided to sit on the beer side. They have an INSANE beer/wine/drink list along with a food menu. They have about 20 or so beers on tap at any given time plus a ton of bottled beer, wine, and of course any sort of liquor you could want. I felt pretty spiffy when I was actually able to suggest a beer to my date (Orange Blossom Pilsner) and he actually liked it. I think the story about the OBP Scion XB with a tap coming out the side sold him on it. I was happy because they had a few "Meghan friendly" beers on tap and didn't have to be a girl and order wine. This is where I'm supposed to tell you about this killer popcorn that we ordered. Yup, popcorn. But of course I didn't take a picture of the popcorn or the description on the menu. And the menu I find online doesn't even mention the popcorn. Let's just say there was cheese involved and it was totally worth the slightly high price tag. I think they should have given us twice the amount for that price, but it was delicious regardless. One of my favorite things about Taps was that even though it was a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded, it wasn't super loud. I always worry about going to bars when I actually want to carry on a conversation with someone, but Taps worked out perfectly.

We stopped in to grab a snack before a movie. The service was pretty good. We ordered salads. The Greek salad and the Turkey and bacon. Both were huge and made with fresh ingredients . Very tasty the turkey and bacon salad was served with warm cheesy bread YUM! Nice atmosphere also. I would recommend and return myself.

Great place to have a craft beer before or after the movies. Would be a nice place to hang out in great weather - every wall is garage door style so the whole place will open up to the outdoors. $6.50 for a Cigar City Jai Lai on draft. $5-6 for a draft Saison.

I work in the Winter Park Village, and Taps is the go-to happy hour spot for my co-workers and I. It has a modern, yet slightly rustic feel with both indoor and outdoor seating. One of my favorite things about the décor is that two of the walls are like garage doors that can be opened up all the way. It makes the inside and outside areas feel like a combined space Plus you can sit inside, but still get the benefits of sitting outside - a nice breeze and view. Perfect for someone like me who sunburns easily. It's located on the corner across from the movie theatre, so the scenery is nice too. That's where the fountain and giant chess and checkerboards are. Hubby and I sat outside during December once, and we had the perfect view of the giant Christmas tree. Taps has a full liquor bar and nice craft beer selection. And they actually have an in-house beer sommelier (or cicerone) which I thought was cool. I guess there is only like 400 or so of them in the country! He picks what they serve on tap. He came over and talked to Hubby and I one time, and was super friendly and helpful. We couldn't decide what beer we wanted, so he gave some recommendations and explained what the differences were. It was obvious he knew what he was talking about. Taps also serves food, though I have yet to try it. I've heard from others that its good. If you're out shopping or dining in the Village, I recommend stopping in to Taps for a drink.

While waiting for our table at another restaurant, a few members of our group wanted to stop and grab a quick drink. Taps looked intriguing from the exterior and when we walked inside it was even better. Our server, Bill was friendly and he was very helpful with selecting beers for a member of our group who normally only drinks American beers. Taps offers a wide selection of imported beers both on tap and in the bottle. They have a large drink menu featuring wines, cocktails, and beers. Our group didn't get anything to eat but what we saw being delivered to the other guests looked amazing. They have a plush lounge area and even have tables outside if you'd like to smoke.

Their draft menu was not up to date and every time we ordered a beer, the server came back to us a few minutes later informing us that we had to order something else. Their draft selection wasn't even that impressive. Probably won't come back here again.

Great food, awesome beers and knowledgeable staff! What more do you need? I was recently visiting Taps and had the Tuna Crudo, which I was told was my servers favorite tapas. He did not disappoint with his suggestion. I paired it with the Green Flash West Coat IPA which is one of my favorites, and to see it on draught was an awesome surprise!

I always know what I am going to get at Taps. A great selection of Craft Beer, really tasty salads, solid appetizers, and a short wait, if any at all. This is one of our go-to places in Maitland/Winter Park. Recently they have been training some new staff members, and at times it has been rocky, but you have to have sympathy for someone with little beer knowledge having to contend with that cooler on their first week. Caveat: it can develop a douchey atmosphere on weekend nights.

The good: love the atmosphere, selection of beers and wine and the easy flow from outdoor to indoor. Decor the classy, cozy and clean modern. The bad: the service. We first asked the server for a list beers on tap, she said they didn't have a list, we asked her to tell us, she didn't know then became annoyed. She was quick in and out of the table hoping that we wouldn't want to order more drinks. Has a lot of promise, but still has service issues to address.

Stopped here for lunch before our movie. Small open layout. Variety of beers. We ordered from the tapas portion of the menu, and ordered the shrimp tacos and crab/artichoke dip with pita chips. The shrimp tacos are not really your tapas sized tapas. Served in a flour tortilla and when you go bite into it ... it bleeds pineapple salsa... too much liquid... not really good.... the crab/artichoke dip .... way too much cream cheese and the pita chips weren't really chips.... unless the chips are suppose to be soft bread.... Though the service was friendly... the food could be better.

This is a great place to catch a premovie drink if you're visiting the Winter Park Regal. Service was prompt- no sooner had we sat down then drink menus were presented and our server started helping us navigate the massive menu. We are talking 300 different bottled beers plus a couple dozen on tap! They also have a selection of wines that should keep wine drinkers happy alongside their beer loving friends. The cocktail menu is very limited so you better know what you want if you don't drink beer or wine. They also serve food but we'd just come to drink. Taps has only been open for 6 weeks but our server was knowledgeable and rattled off beer after beer including a little history on each and alcohol content. Disappointing they don't do flights of beer or beer samplers but she said she could bring us up to three to try. After sampling a variety several at the table ordered some "Dead Guy" brew, which seemed to be a hit. If you like beer you'll like this place. If not, well, you probably won't be that impressed. The decor is nice. In the evenings they open the glass bay doors. The open doors along with the high ceiling give it an chic, outdoor feel. The first part of the place is high top tables, the back a black sofa lounge. Choose depending on your mood. Having a couple of drinks made our movie a lot more fun!

What defined this experience for me was the service. We were not sitting in the main bar, but within view of the bar and cashier, and just could not get the attention of a waitress to get our check (and then to give them our card to run). The waitress was also not very knowledgeable on the wines available, and when at a wine bar, I like to have that kind of insight. We ended up not ordering another glass because the service would have taken a while, but the list of both wine and beer options were otherwise impressive.

I would like to return here during a normal night before going to the movies with my boyfriend and enjoy a meal and a glass of wine.. or two.

Just went there and had an amazing time. The bartender Sabrina was amazing. Knew about all the beer on tap. Wasn't expecting much of the food, but it was also good. Would go back anytime.

You can choose from outdoor dining under trees, inside tavern-style, stylish lounge seating, cozy rounded booths and even pull a seat straight up to the bar. Service and prices were good.

Bottom line: I would stop in again for a beer but, Taps falls a bit short in my opinion.

had to kill some time and i stopped of for a quick bite and glass of wine.

It's too bad a nice space cannot live up to it's name. good riddance!

had the worst service, food, and they couldn't even make a cosmo right.

But i'll definitely go back... sometime. Probably before a movie, but Winter Park village is really for the kiddos anyway. lol

And of course, some super cute eye-candy after 5pm. ;)~

Rude, terrible service, attitude is negative, they think it's funny to tell you that your paying 20% gratuity and if you don't want to come back that's fine with them! Worst restaurant EVER!

DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE*****************

This place is great for sitting outside and enjoying some drinks. Great people watching and the food was surprisingly tasty. My only complaint was the lack of availability of some of the items listed on the menu. Otherwise, I definitely recommend it.
